We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Sales to lead our sales team in driving revenue growth and expanding our presence in the merchant processing industry. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sales leadership, fundamental understanding of merchant processing, enthusiasm for enabling entrepreneurs and a proven track record of achieving sales targets and exceeding customer expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans, complete with processes and best practices, to achieve company revenue targets and expand market share in the merchant processing industry.
- Train, lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales professionals to consistently meet and exceed individual and team sales goals.
- Develop scripts, hooks, and messaging allowing your sales team to most effectively reach out and communicate with leads and prospects.
- Identify emerging market trends, competitive threats, and opportunities for product innovation, and provide strategic guidance to senior leadership to drive business growth.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product development, customer support, underwriting / risk and other departments to ensure alignment of sales strategies with overall business objectives.
- Analyze sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to inform decision-making and continuously improve sales performance and customer satisfaction.
Key Qualifications:
- Entrepreneurial spirit and ownership-minded focus.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales leadership roles within the merchant processing or financial services industry.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets, driving revenue growth, and building high-performing sales teams.
- Fundamental understanding of merchant processing products and services, including payment processing, point-of-sale (POS) systems, mobile payments, and e-commerce solutions.
- Deep knowledge of the sales process, techniques, and practices.
- Ability to train, guide and develop sales reps.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence key stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical skills and business acumen, with the ability to interpret sales data, market research, and financial metrics to inform strategic decision-making.
- Results-oriented mindset, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving continuous improvement in sales performance and operational efficiency.
